Fabricated jewelry is made by bending, cutting, soldering and working the metal in its raw form. There is no mold made to produce a fabricated piece unless it is made after the piece is finished.
Although half of jewelry is fabricated it is a dying art and not usually done anymore. Fabricated pieces of jewelry tend to be stronger and the design more crisp.
Making this mountain range ring, we cut a piece of flat gold to the correct length to fit around the ring
we use a very fine saw to cut the mountain shapes into the flat gold
then we wrap it around the ring
and join the edges together, we then polish and file the ring until we have reach the desired effect
