Kit Kuhn has known what chosen career he selected since he was a middle school student. But, it took the young master jeweler another 15 years to figure out that Gig Harbor was where he wanted his business. Kuhn, the proprietor of Kit Kuhn Jewelers, features one-of-a-kind jewelling. Traveling much of the world learning his craft, a visit to Gig Harbor convinced him that this was his home. His business, located in Gig Harbor’s original court- house and judge’s chambers, features many of his designs. Kuhn specializes in custom order wedding sets with Northwest themes. For 22 years, Kuhn has been creating jewelry. Quality and pride is important to him. ‘I want to do things that have meaning,” he says. “I love making something out of nothing; taking a hunk of metal and making something really nice.” His store offers both gold and silver jewelry with a wide selection of loose diamonds and colored gemstones.
